Heh, still makes me laugh. Good work! Outstanding parts were the crossword puzzle, Moff Skinner calling his mother, and the whole garbage scene. A killer tomato, too... I just love the way Bart disposed of it. And Lisa asking if Bart's related to Darth Homer was just priceless! Marge still has plenty of good lines.

Can't wait to see Abe confront his former pupil... and off-continuity son... hmmm, why does this script give the impression that this is a very screwed-up family?  :)

The relationship between Homer and Skinner feels kind of enlightening as well. For some reason, when I watched the films, I sometimes got the feeling that Darth Vader was working for Tarkin (wow, near-rhyme!), not the other way around. Maybe it's a meritocracy...

Most of what I'd say has already been said, but I'll add that I really liked the episode number references...

Lisa's Cell Block - AABF23 - Beyond Blunderdome
The Cell block they said they were moving Santa from - CABF04 - Homer Vs Dignity ("The Worst of them all" ;-) )
Lisa's prison cell - 7F19 - Lisa's Substitute.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

Comments about Bart Wars part 5.

"HOMER

Letting off steam, huh?

           SKINNER

(through clenched teeth) Yes."

By sharpening pencils? Did they even have them in Star Wars? [Heh heh high tech stuff]

"            SKINNER

(angrily) I'm "mad" because *you* blew up a planet
for nothing, and because that little Rebel lied to
me! Me, Grand Moff Seymour Skinner, the Governor of
the Outer Rim Territories!"

But that's being president of Wales.

"            HOMER

But it might cheer you up to know that Princess Lisa
has been scheduled for execution, right after the guy
who invented Mountain Dew."

Yay! They got the mountain Dew guy! Die mother f*8ker! Hang on, why would they wanna kill guy who invented Mountain Dew? Oh incidentally Imperial Brew is now available for just 70p.

"            SKINNER

Well, it would appear someboy is trying to return the
stolen plans to the Princess."

Either that or their smuggling Mountain Dew.

"            HOMER

(quietly) I'm experiencing a strange feeling...something
I haven't felt in a long time.

           OFFICER

(offhandedly) A tremor in the Force, possibly caused
by the presence of your old master?

           HOMER

Nope. (scratches his right forearm) Gnat bite."

LOL Nice one, although I wonder how the gnat got on board the Death Plant.

"            MIL

(proudly) Yeah, wasn't it? That's where I always hide
when my mom wants me to clean my room."

Supa sw33t, I gotta get me one of those!

"The technicians and the stormtroopers are buried under
the box. Santa wipes his hands with a content growl."

Heh heh, Wookies kick ass.

"Cut to the officer, so engrossed in his crossword
puzzle that he doesn't even notice the sound of the
fight ensuing behind him."

Heh it seems the Empire should have banned crosswords not Mountain Dew.

"            BART

The Empire uses Windows?

           ABE

They're evil. What did you expect?"

Oh I bet they use Megashaft Windblown 4000.

"The planet we were supposed to take Maggie to?

Bart's expression doesn't change."

Of course it a little late for that now...thank scrod they didn't get there and land...

"            ABE

(reassuringly) Don't worry, I'll be fine. I will
deactivate the tractor beam or die trying. (pause)
Wait, scratch the last three words. Anyhow, we must
part now. Your destiny lies along a different path
than mine. (puts a hand on Bart's shoulder) The Force
will be with you. Always."

It's *AND* die trying. Oh and may the farce be with you!

"            MIL

Of course not! But marching right into the detention
area is suicide."

Heh the rebellion is suicide full stop.

"            MIL

Don't worry, Santa, I think I know what he's planing."

Me too, ewwwww dude!

"            BART

(quickly) I didn't do it, no one saw me do it, no one
can prove anything. (to Mil) Let's go."

Eh that's right. Works every time.

"            OFFICER

That's the third time this week that happened. Alright,
just get new ones as soon as possible. Now, if that's
all..."

I see their gambling's as good as their aim.

"I...Yes...Yes, we will find the Rebels'
hidden base soon. And destroy it, yes. Yes...No...No,
I'm afraid I won't be home in time for dinner. I...
Ooh, the conference is starting. I'll call you back,
Mother."

Heh heh the one thing Skinner fears more than the Emperor, his mom.

"            SKINNER

Look, Lord Homer, we both know that the Jedi are long
since extinct. Their fire has gone out of the universe
together with charity and disco music. You, my friend,
are all that's left of that pathetic bunch of..."

Waaaauuuuuggggghhhh disco music!

"
           HOMER (CONT'D)

D'oh! (staggers backwards) Stupid doors, why don't
they open automatically..."

Because this isn't Star Trek.

"            LISA

(sighs) Wonderful. Just as smart as Darth Homer. You're
not related, are you?"

Heh heh you just wait until the 3rd film...

"            MIL

(sniffs) That smells like the garbage chute! I'm not
going in there!"

Oh yes you are it's in the script!

"He draws his lightsaber and cuts off the tentacle
holding him. The tomato roars in pain, but before it
can do anything else, Bart cuts it to pieces."

Heh heh feel the farce mother f*8ker!

"            MARGE

Uh-oh...

The plunger detaches from the ceiling, and Marge and
Maggie come crashing down on the troopers, knocking
them unconscious."

Even droids can beat the stormbloopers.

"            LISA

(grimly) At least we will face death the way all brave
Rebels do."

Yeah up to your knees in s*8t and totally screwed.

"            LISA

Look, I don't know who you are, or where you came
from, or just what you think you're doing, but from
now on, you do as I tell you. Okay?"

Could be worse could be the entire rebel fleet taking orders from a giant frog. [Admiral Akbar]

Well this is another quite good section I liked the bits about the mountain dew guy although I don't quite understand it and Darth Homer and the gnat bite. There was unintentional humour for me with the "I think I know what he's planning" line, the constant walking into doors that don't open on their own. The mutant Tomato was a nice touch, attack of the killer Tomato's anyone? The line about Windows was good to as was Skinner's mother phoning him up. A good effort over all, now we just need Abey Vs Darth Homer the grudge match. I bet it'll be on galactic pay per view.

BTW Steve good work spotting those code things I can't belive I didn't notice them.

The Cell block they said they were moving Santa from - CABF04 - Homer Vs Dignity ("The Worst of them all"  )
I was hoping someone would notice that. ;D

I suppose you got the reference behind Lisa's cell number, too? (Alright, now that the episode has been mentioned, it's actually pretty easy...)

The ref behind Lisa's cell number: "You Are Lisa Simpson"? (Mr Bergstrom's last words to Lisa.) Just a guess.

I'm afraid it's not quite as meaningful. ;)

"Lisa's Substitute" is an episode that deals with a conflict between Homer and Lisa, with Homer completely ignoring his daughter's needs (and it's the episode on the subject, in my opinion). Something very similar happens in "Bart Wars". Of course, Darth Homer has no idea that Lisa is his daughter, or he'd probably treat her with more respect. (Then again, as Abe said, he probably would have been a lousy father...)

Karsten-san, I must say, I absolutely love this. Are you planning on doing the entire trilogy (New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi)? I hope so - you're very good!

Why, thank you, Hadisia! :)

And yes, I will do the sequels eventually (wouldn't want to miss the chance to show Burnsie as the Emperor ;D), and maybe (just maybe) the prequels.

*bump*
Yay! I've finally readed it!

Anyway, what to say more? I'm not the greatest fan of SW, but this one was really enjoyable. Many well placed jokes, great choice of charachters and characterization in general. :D

Very well done, keep it up :)

Thank you, Marco. :)

Here's the next part, finally featuring the long-awaited duel between Abey-Wan Kenobi and his treacherous former student
Darth Homer. All that's missing now is the final battle.

Then I'll need a rest... :uhdrop:
