Art De Venture

Post by Sheana_Molloy » Tue Sep 19, 2006 5:02 am

A thread for the posting and discussion of any Venture Brothers art.  Be it grabs/shots from actual episodes, original art by the creators Jackson & Hammer, or art by yourself or other people...Go forth and post!

To begin, Jackson Publick recently put up the drawing of various "terrorists" he did for the State Dinner episode.

The two on the bottom left are my favorite, ha.

Very nice!

Have you ever done any Venture-related art?

The quality is amazing. :) Great job, Sheana.
P.S. Are there any Russians there? ;)

I agree, Sheana's good.  But she didn't do this one.

D'oh!
Well... it's still good. And you can't deny this is very close to Sheana's own level, so ;)

Ha, I wish!

I have tried to draw characters once or twice, I think they came out so-so...I'll have to find the one jokey fanart comic I did back in the day.

In the meantime, here's a "dunny" doll that Publick painted for a charity thing recently.  I wish I could paint this well, man.

If I can ever afford to buy a house, that's going in it.  Preferably right in the foyer.

This picture has no connection with the show (being a few decades older than it), but you've got to admit that it's a rather amazing likeness of Dr Girlfriend in yet another outfit chosen by Phantom Limb.

I wore this when we first met, and I didn't hear you complain!

Actually, it's Phantom (!) Girl from the Legion of Super-Heroes in a fan-designed outfit. For more hideolarious examples of superhero fashion, check out this page http://ape-law.com/GAF/Article/article05.html. In fact, check out the entire site if you've depleted Superdickery and still want to snigger at awful comics.

Lol, love the sketches.  Triana doesn't look too happy about Billy grabbing a handful.

Speaking of "gone and forgotten" superhero stuff, if you need proof that superman is a dick, and that out of context comic book covers/panels are comedy gold, visit http://www.superdickery.com/,
Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old,
Can you hear me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles,
With itching feet and fading smiles,
Can you feel me?
Hey You! Don\'t help them to bury the light.
Don\'t give in without a fight.

Official Venture SB art = love.  I can't wait for cells to make the actual animation market so I can snatch a couple up (I think Lovelace is selling some of his originals, hmm...)

Wasn't Chlorophyll Kid the Wallflower's sidekick?

He must have been. We're getting ever closer to the elusive Wallflower here...
