Phantom Limb did not take the wedding news well, but I liked the hunting scene, and his boss on the spooky picture phone.

Yay for Dr. Orpheus and his buddies, hooray that Blackula Hunter got to talk in this one.

I'd love to know how the Monarch's henchman captured everyone in the beginning.

Dean and Hank were hysterical, especially Evil/Russian Hank.

The wedding scene.... how disturbing was Seargant Hatred and his Princess's toes?  Definitely the best disturbing/gross out moment of the show.


Yarrr, there is no way I can wait until next season.  Booo that I have no more Adult Swim on Demand, why oh why did they have to take it away?

Never fear, Aoife, Part 2 is coming next week!  Part 2 is the final episode of Season 2.  ....I think.  It's what I've been told, anyway.

Haha, talk about a ton of totally expected stuff going down in this episode.  All really interesting and hella entertaining, too, plus it's nice to see so much continuity from various places come back as well.  The actual story segments were well-written, too, and you really got to feel for a lot of the characters.  Lots of great quotes and things, too.

DAVID BOWIE.  DAVID BOWIE.  DAVID BOWIE.  I know it's not really him doing the voice but the fact that after all the various references to his music he actually shows up, that's freaking hilarious.  Plus it's nice to see Dr. Killinger again.

Phantom Limb's pretty bad-ass, isn't he?  It'll be interesting to see what the Guild does after this little escapade.  Plus I love the henchmen even more now.

How apropos and hillarious is it that Brock's weakness for The Zep results in his capture?

The best thing about VB is that it's wonderfully entrenched in character behavior.  For every Brock rampage, we get to learn about what makes him tick. Better yet, it never stops being funny.

David Bowie knows Dr. Girlfriend?  And he has a past with Brock?  (And he brought Iggy Pop to the wedding!) 

And, of course, Phantom Limb can't resist the impulse to "Be A dick", in the words of The Monarch, thus leading to a two-parter.

My love for the women on this show continues to grow.

We have a major red herring with Dean's "off" behavior and OVERANNUNCIATION during this ep.  Could it be the conspicuously-absent Triana?  Or better yet - Kim, holding Triana and Dean hostage?  Or maybe someone more obvious, like JJ or Jonas Sr.?

All in all, I'm wondering if one of my favorite Venture conspiracy theories is true:

That TM and Doc are related somehow - TM's "parents" were his adoptive parents or distant Venture relatives somehow?  And that's why Killanger sent the Oni after Doc - not to reunite him with Myra but to reunite him with TM?

Hahahaha, David Bowie is the Sovereign of the Guild of Calamitous Intent.  I think it's hilarious that Bowie's in charge of the supervillain world and has actual powers and stuff, Publick & Hammer are such dorky fans.  "Make way for the homo-superior!  *punch*"

This was another excellent episode, I thought that 'As Seen Previously...' at the beginning was the best take on that ever.  Didn't really explain too much, but it was cool, heh!  Such a huge cast of characters and lots of different things going on, it was great to see it all.

Fave things include Dean's Neverending Story-esque hallucination, Dr. Orpheus and friends in the jet (God they're such a hilarious trio), the Monarch's henchmen discovering what their suits can actually do, Bowie, the Monarch in general and et cetera.  Loads of great quotes, but then again, VB is an incredibly quotable show.  I'm jealous, hah.

It was pretty cool, the revelation as to what Phantom Limb's real intentions were, and the fact that he got away (albeit missing a few essential pieces) to do some harm another day.  I like the way everybody interacts in various ways, and how the status quo on the show is always changing.  It'll be interesting to see what goes down in the future!

Especially after that little ending bit with Dr. Girlfriend's (Shiela's!) mysterious revelation...way to set up another brain-latching-onto cliffhanger/theoryfest, P&H.

...Man, I can't believe Season 2 is over already.  Damn 13 episode setup.  Here's to Season 3!

That's my impression as well.  I'm just hoping it wasn't meant to be a lead up to reveal the truth in the ever-popular opinion that, "Oh, hehe, sorry, she really is/was a guy."

Ohmygawd, this was propbably my favorite episode in the whole season.

The Neverending Story hallucination had me cracking up the entire time; it's one of my favorite movies, and I recognized the parody almost instantly.

I was also thinking Bowie was the Sovereign coming into this episode (I can't remember if I read that theory here or on another forum, but it made sense to me), but that didn't make the revelation any less awesome.  I'm not familiar enough with his work to know who the two traitorous henchm... minions accompanying him were, though, so I'm sure I missed out on hilarious references there.

And Dr. Sheila Girlfriend rocks.  End of discussion.

The only two things that dissapointed me were:

a) A total lack of Batman mask (although I suppose Venturestein might still have it)

and

b) Apparantly no closure to Triana's kidnapping.  It's entirely possible I missed something, but is she still stuck in that alternate dimension, or did she escape at some point?

And now I should probably hunt down season 1, which, save for the last episode, I've never actually seen.

Phantom Limb is such a bitch, but hooorrray for David Bowie.  Henchman Iggy Pop was quite funny.

Dean's Neverending story hallucinations were fabulous.  I wonder if they were sparked out of fear, or what.  Yeah, and where has Triana been, anyway?

I love you Dr. Sheila Girlfriend.  I wonder what her secret is...I am leaning toward preggers also. Ordinarily, that would be lame, but I have faith in Doc and Jackson to make this great, somehow.

I can't wait long for season 3, so I really hope it comes out soon.
