I'm more inclined to actually finish something if someone's holding me accountable.  Count me in!

Is this your first Futurama fic? It's as well-written as your Simpsons ones, that's for sure. This was undiluted (if a bit icky) fun, like watching an episode I haven't seen before. The solution to the problem felt a bit predictable (mind you, could be because of the competition requirement storyline), but I like how you threw a twist ending when all seemed to be over. Funny and in-character lines abound.

Icky but funny (Chris is right about that), but it's got solid characterisation.  Fry is so, so very Fry-like in this piece, and Bender was about perfect.

Very funny, and very Futurama. Like Chris said, this was very much like an episode. Good sci-fi, with some very Futurama-like twists, and many hilarious and in-character moments. Plus, you zinged Mountain Dew.  ;D

Overall, very solid and funny. Out of all the entries, it was probably the closest in spirit to that of the show actually, IMO.

During judging, this was actually my choice to win because it was the fic that was closest in both tone and quality to the show. Great work!

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

Thanks much, all y'all!

I'm seriously tempted to flesh this out into a script once the writers' strike ends.
