A Wild Writer Appears!

Post by Officer 1BDI » Thu Nov 06, 2008 7:01 am

We'll see if I actually accomplish anything in a month's time.  :P  I have a few ideas already; hopefully one of them will see the light of day.

No entry yet; I'm still 1) trying to relocate my muse and 2) settle on a plot.  Whatever I write, there's a 99% chance it'll be based in the Futuramaverse.

Plot 1-
Beginning: The devil comes down to Georgia
Middle:  There is a profound need for booze
End:  Everyone gets a statue

Plot 2- ( <-- Most likely plot at the moment, but also the plot I'll have the least success with  :P )
Beginning: Someone changes their appearance
Middle: There is a profound, life-changing event
End:  someone is left holding the baby

Plot 3-
Beginning: A package arrives
Middle: someone loses something important that the rest of the crew need
End:  Things end without resolution

Plot 4-
Beginning: The day starts out so well/Someone has to face up to reality
Middle: There is a profound need for booze
End: someone decides to return to the way things were

Plot 5-
Beginning: Routine maintenance reveals something frightening
Middle: Everyone hides for a while
End: Someone returns to work/Things end without resolution

Hey!  Guess who's real life got in the way at the critical last minute?

So, yes, unfortunately I don't have an entry for this contest.  :-\

Dang. I'm sorry to hear that, Officer - you're a very good writer, and I've been looking forward to reading something new from you.

Aww, you're an awesome writer - sorry to see you won't have a finished entry :/

Aw, now I'm really sorry I wasn't able to complete anything in time.  :-[  Thank you for the kind words.

In light of the contest almost being over, I don't mind revealing the plots I was considering:

I'm really looking forward to reading everyone else's entries.  All of the ones I've finished so far have been great.

Sorry to hear you wont have time to enter anything; I was really looking forward to competing with you.  Those were all fantastic plot ideas.  Hopefully we'll get to see some of them in story-form some day?

I whole-heartedly agree with Soylent Orange about your plot ideas. I particularly like the Robot Devil one (a fic about him!), and... all the others.
