my holidays are coming to an end soon but I've actually managed to read half of this amazing story!!! ^^
problem being is I've lost the link, I saved most of it on the computer so I can read it when the internet's not working but I've somehow lost the rest of the story :/
is there a link I can have please?
thanks :D

EDIT: forgot to add my review so far, It's beautiful, now I realise why people are always on about it here and what all the pictures are on about.  :'( Now I have to draw LF pics!!!

SECOND EDIT: finally found it, sorry about this random almost pointless post, I found the link on marcos site ^^
cheers ;)

This story has had a lot of good reviews, well... Every review has been good. But, I only needed to hear a general summery of it to think it was very similar... if not picture perfect to the story "A Boy Called It".

If you've ever read "A Boy Called It", I think you'd see that the Boy is Lisa, The mother is now the Father, and the Simpson family is the School.

(Translate: Baised on a true story, Boy gets beaten up by his mother almost to death using different torture methods, his school find's out and rescuse him.)

Sorry if this may come as a shock to you.

I'll read the fanfic and see for myself, but firstly, I'd like to congradulate you on the success of it, and for the incredible effort put into it.

Are there any other similarities apart from the basic "child is abused by a severely disturbed parent and eventually rescued into good hands" arc?

Personally I reckon it's a good idea to read stories before reviewing them. I made the mistake of prejudging a book as terrible, once, based on the reviews people had given it, only to later find it was actually a damn fine bit of science fiction.

I'm sure you've h eard the old saying about books and covers... ;)

That saying is too true.

Sorry for not making this clear before, but, I think it will be a great story. I just presume it will be very similar to that book (Which is a good read itself).

Sorry for the complication. No more posting until its read!

(I've just realised, this story is well over three year old. I guess a classic never die's)

If LF is shamelessly based on a book (and it is!), that book is Goodnight Mr Tom by Michelle Magorian. Mind you, it's not exactly dissimilar to A Boy Called It either.

Ah, 'Goodnight, Mr. Tom'!  I remember reading that book for school when I was younger.  Sad, bittersweet stuff.

I have read this story not for a very long time. I remember, how Dagdamor asked me to read it, but I am so lazy, that I read LF for half of year (actually, I read this story for one or two days, but made go for a very very long time).
Well, I liked this story, but it is very sad. Lisa Fitzgerald remind me Karamzin's (Russian writer) story "Poor Lisa", very identical situation (but in Karamzin's story Lisa dies, when in Jenny's story Lisa survives). Respect, Jenny! Thanks for Lisa Fitzgerald! Very good describing of The Simpsons family, a lot of new (thinking out) characters and their thinking over past. Yeah, real fan of The Simpsons must read Lisa Fitzgerald! :)

Lisa Fitgerald is one of the most brilliantly written fan fics in the history of Simpsons Fan Fiction. Anyone who says otherwise is a communist.

Otherwise.

What, you expected me to come back for one day and not make at least one pointless post just to poke fun at another?  ...  Oh, alright.   LF rocks!  Both the old one and the current version being written!

A lot of attachments were lost when we last changed servers. Anyway, Jenny is rewriting this story. The first half is finished and can be found here: http://www.simpworks.com/forums/index.p ... l#msg88281

I realised now, yeah, you where right all along. I cant believe how ignorant I was back when I said that.

Now, Jenny. Personaly, I now find you more respectable than Rold Darl, JK Rowling... the guy who wrote 'The Hobbit', and most of all, the dude who wrote 'A boy called it'.

Your story was more gripping, entertaining, more emotional, more insirational.

Basicly, I'll but my opinion with my heart on this one. This was a truely magnificent story in its own right. It smashes anything I've ever read hands down.

... which includes my ex-favurate read 'The Hungry Caterpiller' ;)

Awsomeness at the highest level.

I think I'll go draw now, I'm all inspired :D
