Competition Winner
Competition Winner
Aaaand the winner of the 2009 winter writing competition is... ooh, cool a real drumroll.
[iurl=http://simpworks.com/forums/2009-winter ... b-at-it/0/]Red_line[/iurl] with Fryscape!
Everyone who took part produced excellent work and it was annoyingly hard to pick a winner. Like the art competition, because of the relatively few entries we're only going to announce the first place winner this year. However, everyone else will be able to get a "took part" certificate if they want one.

Our choicest plans have fallen through, our airiest castles tumbled over, because of lines we neatly drew and later neatly stumbled over.

Oh! Wow! This is indeed a very pleasant surprise. Many thanks to the judges for their hard work and bruises.

Congratulations, Red_Line! I haven't had a chance to read your story yet but I'm sure that it deserved to win. I'll try to read it once I get a chance.

As a judge, I'm not sure whether this is protocol, but I too would like to congratulate Red Line on his fic's victory.
It was a great pleasure to judge in this competition and get to read such good stories.
And very nice illustration, Kaspired! The faces are a bit off-model, but I like it a lot.

Re: Competition Winner
Thank you everyone.
And Kaspired, wow, that picture is great. Thank you for drawing it. I'm doubly honored.
The story here is that I was at somewhat of a loss for a plot. Futurama_Freak1 was relating a story to me about a fangirl that was asking him for pictures of Fry and what would happen if there were 500 Frys, and I went "Ah HA!" or "Eureka!" or something like that. I stopped at 97 or so because that's a little over 16 hours worth of Frys. So FF1, don't worry, when I receive me reasonable quality certificate, I'll send you an autographed photocopy.

Re: Competition Winner
Good solid story, man. After reading it I had to do the drawing. Actually I was worried somebody else would do it first. Just think 92 frys to go...
Congrats again.
