Angel - lineart by CapAdde
It was back in January when I asked CapAdde for permission to colour this. What a slacker I am.
Oh well, better late than never.

We move in circles
Balanced all the while
On a gleaming razor's edge
A perfect sphere
Colliding with our fate
This story ends where it began

Hey, this came out of the blue. I actually love the cromatic work you did on the background, it all flows very well together. The text, aside being sweet and touching, is well placed, good idea about putting the last two lines detached from the first. It causes the viewer to "read" the whole pic as if Lisa was a line of text herself, instead of making them as separate parts.
Aboout the subject well, the sketch was wonderful, the coloring is not less Good choice of colors and subtle shading!

Thanks a ton, the kind words are very much appreciated.
And a quick note about the text: it's the chorus from Everything Everyway by Sunk Loto. The lyric I used isn't exactly in context, as the song is romance-oriented, but it still fits on its own.

Awww, what a cute pic. Her wings look a bit disheveled, but still adorable.
I liked the sketch, I like the coloring! Good job.

It's excellent. I couldn't be happier. Thank you.
What would you do if you found an angel on your balcony?

Great Coloring! Brentyn. I will mention a few flaws if you dont mind, we are all learning here, so take this as a advise, don't take it the wrong way.
The gradient in the background looks good, but when you write text on top of it try using warm colors over cool ones and viceversa, if you don't do this, the text might get lost on the background. Another thing - composition thing. The effect that separation of the text gives to the viewer is to avoid it. The Human Eye when watching art always start from left to right, and from warm to cool-colors. Lisa is just in the right spot and the moon on the right balances the picture. However if Cappade had drawn something a little bit bigger on the right the piece would had been better balanced. The picture should always have something heavy on the right side because we see a pic starting from the left "always" is human nature, and if the weight is there -all of it, then all the right side of the piece is just a waste of space.
If you notice, the signature is hardly visible because of the problem I mentioned before.
Whenever you see something wrong in my art, for as insignificant as it is, let me know.
