Halloween?
Re: Halloween?
Muh... Interesting take on the drawing. Her thighs are kinda long, that bothered me. But I didn't catch the uneven ground. How's about her standing on a chainsaw? Whoops, that's been done. Let me ponder this perplexing perpetual problem, Pinky (oh wait, wrong show...)
Another pose I was looking at was her getting set up to kick the head, like a football. Originally I didn't want to add any kind of background. There's already alot going on, but on second thought a hint of weird things might help. Like Frankensteins lab?
This opens up a whole other set of options.

Again I don't want to say anything about this until a few comments have been made.

I can only assume the Professor has been up to something again.

Re: Halloween?
I love the depth you're getting on the figures -- the result's a nifty-looking combination of Groeningism and real bodies. I was skeptical about the need for a background, but I do think this one adds to the picture (in that cornered-by-head-carrying-zombies way that's just so festive ). The only problem I can see with this one is the background on the right-hand side of the pic: the top of that control panel thingy slopes down to the right too sharply (possibly more sharply than the bottom, which doesn't make sense given where the horizon line would be). Overall, though, great style and a nice creepy idea.
ETA: Unless this is just my monitor screwing up, I also like the monochrome shading on not-quite-grey paper.

It's not just your monitor, I see it too. Charcoal and white chalk-or-pastel works so nicely on grey or brown paper. It adds depth and texture.

Re: Halloween?
Awesome and creepy. Technique sorta reminds me of Chopping Block.
I memorized "Holy Grail" really well
I can recite it right now and have you ROTFLOL
- "Weird Al" Yankovic, "White and Nerdy"
"Any pile of stunted growth unaware that entertainment is just that and nothing more, deserves to doom themselves to some dank cell, somewhere, for having been so stupid!! Movies, books, T.V., music - they're all just entertainment, not guidebooks for damning yourself!" - Nny
I draw too, dammit!

Man, you guys are sharp!
Charcoal (vine and pencil, white charcoal) on buff paper. See the ragged edges? Folded and torn. This is a first for me, up to now everything I've done has been on 8 1/2 x 11 paper (that's the size of my scanner). But this one is 11 1/2 x 15 (29 x 38cm) and shot with my camera.
The background did help quite abit. Usually I skip 'em, they take too much effort and don't do all that much. But not this time. The consol I skewed intentionally. It was much more interesting than parallel, notice the top of it and the screen are really crooked.
I did revamp the backgoround some more. The drawing will be posted on the DA site tonight, along with way too many details in my scrapbook.
Thanks for all the comments. Everybody is right on top of things.

Another Halloween thingie-mo-bobke.
I told myself I'd take a few days away from the drawing board, but failed miserabley...
This was one of those drawings that just took off on it's own. Originally I was looking for an unusual costume, but then look what happens.
So what do you think? Nightmare calliber? Waste of time?

Reminds a bit of one of the bosses from the recent Ghostbusters game.
Extreme Itchy and Scratchy now with 29% more pointless violence than before.
Re: Halloween?
Yeah, go with that, it's more original than the usual Halloween fare I've seen everywhere else.

Re: Halloween?
The only major nitpick I can come up with is too much forehead on the both of them. Very creepily well-done.

Re: Halloween?
Creepy is the word of the day. I just realized there's still a full week before Halloween. Maybe there's a "turn-around-is-fair-play" drawing to come. Humm...
