So there's a plausible hypothesis that the Stonehenge's purpose was to amplify sound made in its interior, and diminish external noise.

Of course, there's no way to be certain, but if that's the case, I find it amazing. Just imagining that prehistorical humans figured out a way to arrange massive stones to amplify sound of ancient rituals makes that place even more amazing than I could ever find it to be.
