Re: Creativity Hour works thread
So, for today, I've made a drawing that I intend to use as illustration for the very end of chapter 5 of The Ponyville Rag. It was intended as a direct reference to a picture from the inner sleeve of Legião Urbana's second album, but I decided to go a little more ambitious with it: This is what it looks like.
I really enjoyed those studies of Maggie, Stretch! The selection of screengrabs was really good, and your tracing is spot on. I'm hoping you'll get to do something with that new knowledge soon.

I like it a lot, both drawing and colouring. Drawing ponies from the back isn't as easy as it may seem.
Also, like Fernie said, thanks for posting those screengrabs, Stretch!

More Warhammer stuff. A Dark Eldar about to do something horrific to an Imperial Crusader. (Don't worry, they end up the best of pals later.) Elfguy is male and armourgirl is female, for what it's worth.
Con-crit welcome as always. I'm aware of the scribbliness.
EDIT: Reuploaded with slightly less skinny legs, subtle eye make-up.

Some art based on my game The Game of Sétanta. The iconic (??) scene where you face the two main baddies of the game, the white and black rat.

Rattos! For a non-cartoony try at them, it's actually pretty close! I think the only little thing is that the faces are a little long. Rat faces are aren't *short* but they're a little blunt. Still, more realistic than I've been able to pull off before!
Annnd it's okay, it wasn't a health thing. It's that my mom's coming and I wanted to be actually awake for that. Was hoping I could sleep til I was still in galaxybrain mode while she was over but... I'll just get the place gussied up in advance.

Re: Creativity Hour works thread
I had a very atypical day today, so I was unable to show up for creativity or to chat at all. But I'm fine, I'm alive, and everything's alright, so no need for worry.
Yes, the Game of Sétanta! I remember that one, Chris, and that's a really good job on the rats! I wouldn't have noticed the anatomy detail that May pointed out, but I agree that they're very realistic and creepy. The composition, with the main character in the middle, is also great, and there's a pretty convincing sense of depth and perspective to it. Nice work!

Ah there you are!
To be fair, I only noticed myself because I look at rats a lot.

Re: Creativity Hour works thread
I'm shocked, shocked that May commented on the rat picture. Thanks for the anatomy (anratomy?) tip, and I'm glad you like it. (Though I'd be surprised if you couldn't draw better rats.)
@Fernie: I missed you in chat last night, but good to know you're all right. I must admit I was most interested in your opinion, since you've played the game. Thank you!

Re: Creativity Hour works thread
Not 100% sure I'll be there for tonight either. Might do something in advance if I can.
Got an appointment in the afternoon tomorrow and knowing it's at the hospital I need to not just be up in advance but also so I have plenty of time after I get there...

Decided to go for something simpler this time.
If anyone's interested, she's supposed to be the girl on the right in this pic.
EDIT: Con-crit obviously welcome; I may do more on this one.
