Unfortunately, my mother only got the last bit of work. Took us a solid two days to get this thing up. It reminded me of how much I enjoyed working as a builder back in the day.
Which is to say, I really didn't and I'm really glad I quit.
So yeah. Fence. It replaces the ramshackle piles of wood that were the old fence, that I'd had to prop up with whatever I could find to stop them flapping around like those stupid roadside inflatable flapping sign things.
Next step is to repave the front have of the garden and build some sort of bench thing. Fun!

I feel like it's always been dark when I've visited and not really seen the garden. Which is crazy because I know it's been light. I need to be more of as garden person.
It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett
