Neil Peart, of Rush, dead at 67
I barely have energy to write this, and I think most of you might be aware that I'm a Rush fan. I can't overstate how important and influential these guys have been to me since my teens. I'm gutted and devastated by this.
I mean, over time, I've come to hear lots of drummers that are more relevant and influential, and I've listened to loads and loads of bands and artists that I've come to idolise, but Rush were one of the bands that made me want to make music. I'm so deeply thankful to Neil and his music, and despite him having retired a few years ago, I'm having a hard time coping with his passing.
