It's Christmas in May, apparently!

This was a pleasant surprise. Waiting 30 years to go this far into SLH's history was a little odd, but with results like these, I'm not complaining. This was a good slow-paced, emotional story. (Turns out you can have those about dogs without any death involved. In your face, youth literature!) Elaine was a great character, the family coming together over SLH was highly reminiscent of his early focus episodes, and the ending was heartwarming as hell. (Again, no death involved, which surprised me in this case. Jury's out on whether the ending would've been improved if it had been.)
