Five segments? Still not sure how to think of it. Especially when most of the other horror eps have been really horribly paced (I enjoyed THOH 31 but for the past few years, that's it) Granted, the clip wasn't bad (Like to think Maggie was getting revenge for dying in-story at the end!) but they forgot Lisa was a vegetarian. Hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

The other stuff seems 'eh'. Star of the Backstage sounded interesting but apparently there's a big role for Helen which kinda killed that buzz...

Well, whatever cautious optimism exists towards this season just died.

Just revealed that there's gonna be one called "Girls just Shauna have fun"... why is it they actively avoid using anyone actually interesting and instead focus on mostly just the weakest or worst characters? Does *anyone* like Shauna? I mean outside of either thinking she's hot or just "she's a teen girl". Was the last episode where she sexually abused Bart really such a hit? And that's not even a one-time thing.

I think Shauna's OK TBH. I don't get TPTB's need to push the character but she's got potential.

It feels even worse knowing it's gonna be a Selman ep. Not just because I don't like him but feel like they're gonna try and tack some sympathetic backstory onto a canon creeper. Which, uh, is kind of telling if they're willing to do something like that for someone like her compared to girls who are just "kinda mean sometimes" for instance. I mean despite shoehorning her into near every Springfield Elementary scene or plot she's always conveniently absent when a bunch of characters from that group get killed.

Also on that note insisting the twins' voices would get tiresome and yet Shauna's is fine, even though her tone never changes from a grating "sarcastic valley girl" voice. Ever.

Like maybe there's potential? But only as a purely 100% villainous character since, again, she's a creep to prepubescent children on several occasions. Like twice with Bart, the "french kissing club" and so on... she's never once treated as the bad guy either.

I agree that she's had some unfortunate moments but the show's got bigger problems and worse characters.

Oh right. Bigger problems, maybe, worse characters... I'm actually trying to think of examples, I mean they thankfully don't use Crazy Cat Lady or Yeeeeesssss guy much anymore, outside of them I'm struggling to think of any regulars worse than Shauna.
