More YouTube Insanity

Post by Sheana_Molloy » Tue Aug 08, 2006 7:46 am

I think I can safely say that YouTube is now one of my favorite websites.

The Vader Sessions (NSFW):

(And hey, instead of starting a new thread, how about anytime one of us finds something interesting on YouTube or similar, we post it here in the future?)

;D

Where on earth did they get those audio clips?  I recognized a couple of them from "Soul Man" (one of the worst movies I've ever seen) and one from "Field of Dreams" (to which I am mostly indifferent).  But I've never seen a movie with James Earl Jones bein' all gangsta.  I'll have to rent it if I find it!

Good grief. I probably missed a lot, not having seen most of these films (apart from the obvious, that is), but that is pretty hilarious. I enjoyed pretty much all of it, but the flicking-through-channels thing at the end was particularly great. Also the battle with Obi-wan.

I found that hilarious!   ;D  Thanks for sharing it with us. I really loved the gangster-talk vader had.  And also how accurate everything was to the situation.

I had a look on IMDB to see if I could figure out which film the gangsta talk was from.  Then I saw the vast list of films/TV shows that Mr Jones has been in and gave up...  The man's had quite a career!
Great video, it even had a quick burst of Pearl Jam while Vader was changing channels...nice!
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

I'm trying to think of films he hasn't been in. The guy's even done computer games... :)

That's awesome!  Thanks for sharing.
Homer: Marge? Since I'm not talking to Lisa, would you please ask her to pass me the syrup?
Marge: Dear, please pass your father the syrup, Lisa.
Lisa: Bart, tell Dad I will only pass the syrup if it won't be used on any meat product.
Bart: You dunkin' your sausages in that syrup homeboy?
Homer: Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning.
Marge: Tell him yourself, you're ignoring Lisa, not Bart.
Homer: Bart, thank your mother for pointing that out.
Marge: Homer, you're not not-talking to me and secondly I heard what you said.
Homer: Lisa, tell your mother to get off my case.
Bart: Uhhh, dad, Lisa's the one you're not talking to.
Homer: Bart, go to your room.

I found this an hour ago. You want YouTube awesomeness? I'll give you YouTube awesomeness. By which I mean the entirety of the BEST FREAKING SHOW EVER. The series that made me the geek I am today.

The first episode!

The rest of the series!

I am so freaking happy I think I'm gonna cry.
I memorized "Holy Grail" really well
I can recite it right now and have you ROTFLOL

He doesn't change much, but you can see him starting to age a bit toward the end of the video. Gives you a sense of your own mortality doesn't it?

And his hair was a living thing!
