Related to that but a different generation, Clint McElroy, stuck at home, reads The Hobbit

EDIT: Please be aware that the below is an April's Fools joke. I'm leaving it up so the thread doesn't look surreal.

I don't know whether this is part of supporting the isolation effort or what, but whatever the reason, The Joker is now free to watch on YouTube.

I know, I know, this endorsement is coming from a raving fangirl, but I don't know how long it's going to be available, so you won't regret giving it a look.

(some preliminary talk at the start, just skip to 0:15 for the actual film)

That's a super relevant recommendation, Chris! Lots of friends recommended that film, and I didn't watch it just due to sheer laziness. ... in fact, there were several films last year I didn't watch for the same reason, like Parasite and the Brazilian Bacurau.

Sorry, Fernie, you got April's Fooled. I actually feel a bit bad about that now. :) (But not as bad as I feel for yelling "They've found a cure!" to Graham.) Graham and I got it on DVD, and I'd gladly invite you over to watch it, but... and... yeah.

I wasn't lying, though: this video is titled "The Joker", and it is indeed free to watch on YouTube. It's not a feature-length film by any means, but the guy they got playing the Joker is a real cutie.

A special performance, maybe of the kind we need right now.

Yah this is the purpose mankind was put on this planet. Sadly just audio, but still.

animatic for the song "Skullcrusher Mountain" by Jonathan Coulton

OK, the song is hardly new, but I still love it, and this animatic does full justice to it. Would love to see this as a full animated video. No, scratch that, a full cartoon series.

Also, someone's clearly a Dr. Horrible fan.

I gave up trying to draw circles and have transitioned to squishy blobs.

I've seen this video several times before, but I don't think I ever linked it here: I would really like to watch a YouTube channel about technology in which Björk explains how things work.

... I could watch that alllllll fucking day long...
