Official Birthday Thread? Maybe.

Post by archonix » Fri Mar 05, 2010 7:22 pm

But whether or not it is, now's a good time to say happy birthday to Terry. I know it's a day early. I'm getting in on the ground floor with this one rather than be late.

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday, Terry!

I wish there wasn't a big ol' sea in between, or I would bake you a cake.

Happy birthday Terry!  :)
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

Thanks all!  Going to spend the day in Santa Barbara sipping margaritas and watching the surfers surf in the rain.  What better way to start early-middle-age?

Well, at least you can now legitimately complain about 'the kids today'. Many cranky returns!  ;D

Everyone I've talked to insists this is the decade where everything suddenly looks fine again. The 20s are angsty. The 30s are smooth, like a good liquor.

Or so they said.
* Archonix hands Terry some of that good smooth liquor

And now, Tony! Happy birthday!

I wish I had a cake here to give you, but unfortunately, you have to run a lethal obstacle course to get it.  :)
