Of the three sketches I like that one. It lets us get very up close and personal.

Let me toss in these. My landlord knows I draw, and asked if I could do a drawing of his second house. So I did.

The first sketch I was thinking of having the house kinda loom out of the bushes. But ditched the idea, too much of the house was hidden.

This second sketch is more complete. I'm liking it.

The house was built in 1925, and a subtle bit is it's very asymmetrical, which I like.

Must feel great (and a bit scary) to get a request like that!

The sketches are good and all, but the coloured version is very, very impressive. I already liked your colouring, but the shading here blows my mind. I love how it creates different textures, contrasting the smooth stucco (I guess?) of the house with the bark of the different types of trees. And the sky is just a lovely summer colour. Great picture, it has a personal touch while still feeling like a pure representation of reality.

Thanks Chris, glad to hear all that. Believe it or not I wasn't too intimated by the drawing (I've done similar before, i.e. the Abbey Road cover) the scariest bit was I needed to hit the landlords image/concept/version/desire.

He was thrilled with the final, and I offered to frame it. So I did. Now I didn't "have" it framed, I did the work. I own a mat-cutter and know how to use it. Well, in theory anyway...

Oh, she looks great (both lineart and colouring)! And you must be stoked that he was happy with the picture.

Framing is a great skill to have.

I didn't draw a mask picture, but... Dunno if you've been following our Creativity Hour thread, but I embroidered my mask here. It's black thread in backstitch (I wrote the words in pencil before embroidering). The rough cotton fabric was great to work with, I may do more actually.

Sometime last week I was having lunch at a shopping center which doubles as a station for the local commuter train. I wasn't paying much attention to the bells, whistles, clangs, or the rest of the noise. It was only a train, y'know. But I happened to glance and this was sitting right in front of me. All I did was grab the cellphone, stand up, click the snapshot, and return to my pasta.

In case the sky looks kinda strange: There are three major forest fires burning nearby and the sky is filled with smoke.

Looks great, like all your scenery. I love how detailed it is, and the colours are great: subtle, but varied. One of your best pictures so far, going purely by my tastes.

Thanks, Chris. Detail and subtle coloring makes this drawing. I needed to mix a few of the Copic marker colors to get some of the weirder tones. Fortunately for me the ink is slightly transparent and the base color can influence the upper layer of color.

Let me toss this bit of silliness to the world:

The first two seasons are simply outstanding. The gang have lots of smaller side adventures before they get into their main quest. These side adventures help flesh out their universe.

Over on DA land I did an art trade. it was actually kinda fun.

He seems to like roller skating waitresses and this was no exception. Originally he asked for Raven (from The Teen Titans) but I talked him into letting me use Eda (from Disneys' "The Owl House"). Raven is only doing a cameo.

He had some very specific details for clothing.

My next two drawings are already underway.

I re-watched "The Croods" for the first time in eons. (Still funny.) The scene where Eep has climbed part way up a cliff face as the sunset casts a shadow over her has always been a favorite of mine.

Also I'm well into this drawing with Kipo.

Can't believe I didn't comment on your previous batch. The "vs. Pink Flamingos" ones both look great. Very nice dynamic pose on the second one. I'd get into animation if I had your skills.

Rollerskating waitresses eh? Better not tell him about young Marge. Really funny picture with a cool pose and great colouring.

Love the others as well. "Sunset" is lovely, very inspiring.

Get into animation? Spleesch! I'm lucky to give drawings away let alone have somebody actually pay me.

Late response again: the finished Abbey Road pic is lovely. I particularly like the background. Nice use of impressionism: it's not realistically portrayed, but it still feels like it to the eye if you just skim over it.

The Night Krawler looks great, and the background in the coloured version is just stunning.

As usual, impressive stuff!
