The Nidotamer art depository, now less boring!
Re: The Nidotamer art depository, now less boring!
Here's another one! Midge time!

Warmup! I think I like drawing Midge.
Also, first try at doing a cleanup sketch on a different layer to the base shapes.

Ooh, you're off to a good start. Lovely shading as usual, interesting pose, and she looks very on-model to me.

Okay I'd like done a bunch of stuff lately, though little of it is Simpsons. Though a lot of them definitely did push my boundaries a bit, like "five characters directly interacting on one pic"
Instead, take a test thing, might use this for colour-doodles, at least the "paint over lines in some places" look.

Appears to be some manner of vaudeville nogoodnik attempting to disguise himself as Peridot in order to evade the long arm of the law.
I memorized "Holy Grail" really well
I can recite it right now and have you ROTFLOL

I draw too, dammit!

Funny what music can do, isn't it? Listen to "Flower Garden" from Yoshi's Island and this happens!

Supposed to be a gesture scribble but hey, turned out fairly well, especially when I'm usually so crap at drawing Homer!

An assload pf attachments this time! I've been pretty busy the past few days, been doing little "art bombs" on twitter too. And been having a lot of experimentation going on in the meantime! Posing, interactions, multiple characters... also the theme for these was "non simpsons" so...
Actually still got more to do, the Pokemon one is only half done...

Dang, those are plentiful! Obviously I'm not personally familiar with any of them outside SU, but they're all fantastically done.

Huh, every time I see a new pic in this thread, I think to myself "hm, have to write a good reply sometime!" And then, there are tons of more pics... You're being very productive, May, and I'm really enjoying the quality of your shadings and colourings. It's also great to see how you can adapt to different drawing styles, All very sweet, well made pictures!

Re: The Nidotamer art depository, now less boring!
Nifty art, gotta review them all!
Sherri test: really nice monochrome colouring. The expression of her mouth looks a bit weird (or at least something I can't remember seeing on the show), but it's expressive and cute.
Unknown: I'm thinking "unknown Sideshow Bob offspring/relative", myself. Really good, especially their body looks realistic and tangible, but everything about it is cool. I have no constructive criticism.
Baby Sherri: another excellent one. Body, face, colouring, all really good.
Homer: oh, you are *not* bad at drawing Homer. His face is on-model and really lovely.
Will review more later.

Re: The Nidotamer art depository, now less boring!
Hey now, I said "usually"!
And yeah, I think outside of Season 1 the mouths don't go that wide but I have always wanted to go a bit more expressive, myself. I've been testing out some means of doing that and hopefully I'll have a demonstration soon enough...
