Re: REVIEWS: The Difference (Simpsons)
I've no idea how to review this, as it's so damn good. Perhaps one of the finest pieces I've read here that lies right in the blurry lines between prose and poetry. The fleeting, fragmented descriptions of things and the way they flow through the scenes really work in this story, and the result is very moving. Sometimes the simplest of things can give the most beautiful results.

Indeed, it's one of those things that really is hard to review because it just, works so well?

This is so beautiful, Chris - a really powerful examination of what it's like, that first separation between siblings who've lived in each other's back pockets for so long. Terri's struggles and fears felt lifelike, and I liked the way you contrasted the separation by comparing it to her breaking friendship with Alex. The prose was really vivid, your description of the winter feeling especially sharp.
