FIC: [REVIEWS] Looped

This is the latest in a series of fics Chris and I have written for one another as a holiday gift over the years. A tiny bit of Fry/Leela snuck into this, Chris, sorry about that!

SUMMARY: Leela and Fry find themselves reliving a very familiar series of events.

And at long last, my Christmas present!

First of all, thank you so much for writing this.

Typo/grammar issues: "“we’re going to have to" should be capitalised; "been forcing Fry and I" should be "Fry and me" (unless Leela's grammar is a bit off, which I guess it could be).

I do love time loop stories, and this set-up feels exactly like something the Professor might do. In fact, he probably has the best characterisation in this story (you've really caught the way he talks), though the others are great as well. A fun, intriguing little SF romp. The way their equipment changes feels like a perfect reproduction of Futurama-style visual gags in prose. I love the little reference to "The Sting" as well; that's my favourite episode by an order of magnitude.

I don't have any real constructive criticism. The plot feels a bit slow-paced and inconsequential, but the ending changes that. Also, there weren't many laugh-out-loud funny moments, though I like the opening joke, and the candy bar brand. Then again, it wasn't really a comedy story.

I'm not quite sure what's happened to Fry at the end, but it's a very creepy and expertly built-up moment.

In short, great story that feels very true to the show, and great characterisation. Recommended.

EDIT: And you certainly never need to apologise for Fry/Leela content; it's canon, after all.
