Belated baby pictures...

Post by archonix » Sat Nov 03, 2007 11:11 pm

This is little josué, my nephew, born some time in February. The photos are roughly in chronological order.

The first is about 5 picoseconds after he was born. David, after whom the kid seems to take, grabbed him and posed for the camera.
The second is david again, with Josué letting him know just how much he loves him. Yum.
The third is Rose, David's wife. At this point they're out in south america because the government screwed up Rose's residency, so she had to travel to the paraguayan mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to apply for some sort of new visa thing. It's all been sorted now.
The next is Elva deVooght, Rose's mother, and little Josué sleeping.
After that Josué us back in the UK...

... and posing with my other brother, Christopher.

More if I can find em. :)

Augh!  The Dawson boys are all ginger weirdy-beardies!  Scary!  :D

Seriously though, that is one adorable little tyke.  I love the second-to-last pic where he's all 'wassat?'.

He does look nifty, from those pics. Hope he's really nice to deal with.

Here's a few more from the wedding and stuff last year.

From left to right: Christoper, David and Me. I was actually feeling really ill at that point which is why I look like I'm about to explode.
A large chunk of teh family at the Iguazú falls near, surprisingly enough, Iguazú. It's a lot more impressive in person.

Left to right (again) Christina, me, christoper, mum, dad, my aunt Anne, Rose, Matias, aunt cheryl, david carolina (Rose's sister) and her husband victor.

Finally, dad, mum, david and rose. Mum was the only person at the wedding wearing a hat, and afterwards everyone else wanted to buy it from her because it's so completely unusual over there to wear a special hat for a wedding. They all want hats to weddings now! She's started a fashion trend in another country.

I really should dig out those photographs of our wedding...

Haha, LOL. These priceless stories are the spice of family trips and projects like those.

The Iguazu Falls is one place I'd like to see. Fun fact is that the falls are nicknamed the Devil's Throat, and earlier this year some priests and other religious people wanted to change that name to the Voice of God or something like that, because of the original name's "negative influence", and because it's "contradictory" to have an allusion to the Devil in something that's "a concrete divine manifestation". Huh.

Yup, Josué is a truly adorable kid, and the photos from our trip bring back many mighty memories.

*LOL*

You definitely need to go there, Fernando, it's probably the most awe-inspiring natural site I've seen in my life. Unfortunately, there was a drought while we were there, so apart from the Gárgara del Diablo, all the other falls were nearly out of water. Still, that one more than made up for the rest.

Incidentally, I think both "the Devil's Throat" and "the Voice of God" make appropriate names for it. Gnostic, man. Just about the only word you shouldn't put in its name is "hombre".

Ohhhh, Josue is so adorable!  He's such a little peanut.  Rose is very pretty, too.
I love that second photo, so so cute!
