I have to agree that this one was wildly funny, from start to finish. Two of the gags hit me right where I live. Firstly,

My wife and her sisters are all genealogists, and I just got done drawing a poster of one of these things on Wednesday for their family reunion. Secondly,
Spoiler
This could be the funniest one yet this season.

All thumbs way up on this episode! I've watched it twice, and laughed out loud both times. Plus all the different costumes, and the subtle gags
Spoiler
You can't miss the Monty Python bits
Spoiler
Did you spot Doctor Who? And serious points to Gulliver for Andy Warhol.

Excellent episode! This entire season has been really really good. Can't wait for next week.

Funniest episode in a long while (possibly since "Benderama"). Not all the jokes worked for me, but the vast majority made me laugh out loud.
Spoiler
I thought the mechanism behind the time-travel was a bit silly, but other than that, the plot was pretty strong. Kind of a well-worn storyline, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Spoiler
The visuals were particularly fun in this one. From the various old-fashioned outfits (I love Bender's antenna-queue) to the various new settings, to the excellent pastiche of Monty Python animation. Oh, I love it. David was a pretty good new character, too.

Dr. Cahill had a big role in this one. Seems like she's firmly gone from "one-shot" to "recurring character".

Definitely one of this season's high-water marks so far. And maybe the problem is that American people have too much correctional dentistry until you look like chipmunks

EDIT: Hey, the long "S" shouldn't have a crossbar!

I'm assuming everyone has seen it (or owns it), but much of that humor goes back to the mighty Crossover book. I could kick myself...I missed the Dr. Who gag until I watched the clip again on Facebook.
Spoiler
BTW, my daughter even enjoyed it, and she's not much of a fan.

I'm still trying to work out what exactly made this episode so much better than the others. It had something that a lot of this season hasn't quite had. Any ideas?

It was snappy and had a lot of good catchphrases.

(Who among us has not said "Bender bit a poo penny!" out loud)
