My buddy at work and I watched this at work - he came into the control room and told me, "Hey - you've got to see this...it's a Warriors parody." I told him "I wonder if they're going to play the Joe Walsh song?" They did. Cute episode...not Earth-shattering, but cute. Like the idea of a computer nerd press gang.

Re: REVIEW: [SABF09] The Winter of His Content
It is important to note that when "The Warriors" came out in the late 1970's, it was a really controversial film; the poindexters of the day worried that it would cause a wave of violence among young people. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Sort of like the brew-ha-ha over the food fight scene in "Animal House" - when I saw the movie in the theater in 1978, the food fight scene was cut out...I didn't see that scene until years later.

Why is any of that important to note in regards to the episode?

Oh, I don't know...maybe because the episode was a parody of that movie...

Well, the way you so easily go off in tangents and seize the thread to talk about your own life (something you do quite often, I must add) makes you sound like Abe Simpson, you know. And it's a bit rude.

Duly noted...thanks for bringing this to my attention. And, thanks for the comparison to Abe Simpson, which certainly wasn't rude in any way. I turned 51 yesterday, so thanks a bunch for that. I'll leave this board for all of you guys that know what you're doing, and I'll just go elsewhere and pester others with my gibberish. Thanks for letting me know how you feel.

That is why nobody is polite on the Internet: people will always find a way to be offended anyway, so why try to avoid it? I guess I should have just called him an egocentric attention whore outright, but hey... human beings are unpredictable creatures.
