Artings of Chris

The Simpsons and Futurama fan art as well as completely original works of art are welcome here. Please post sketches, models, photographs, completed art and everything in between, as long as you're happy with it as a finished item. Constructive criticism is given unless you make clear that you don't want it.

Artings of Chris

Post by c_nordlander » Fri May 24, 2013 12:18 am

It is well known that I can't draw.

This is a thread for the art I don't do.

This picture requires some explanation: Steve was streaming something in chat, only to have to curtail it when his connection slowed down. Steve suggested we draw fanart of his favourite characters complaining about BT's Internet provision, so I made the following picture of Wreck-It Ralph from "Wreck-It Ralph". Later, it turned out that BT Internet weren't actually responsible, but Ralph doesn't know that.

Made in Paint. Drawn freehand, but I copypasted Ralph into the second panel (hey, it's sprite art, it's allowed).

All my art probably needs loads of improvement, seeing how it doesn't exist and all. So con-crit as hard as you like.

Well, when I got into this Simpsorama thing a few years back I'd never drawn any of those people. Even though you say you can't draw, you've got all the basics here...the face is easy to recognize with it's expression. You really ought to piddle around with some Simpson characters on the Wacom and go by a cheat sheet to see what you come up with. You will only get better if you do. I've doodled these guys on restaurant place mats and on the backs of receipts when I've had to wait somewhere. Definately, continue arting.

Oh, you opened up a thread, eh?

I may not be the world's best artist but if you want any help on anything, I'll be happy to help!

Venture Brothers fanart this time. A sketch of the affable St. Cloud.

I might try to touch this up more sometime in the future. Maybe even colour it, who knows?

Not bad...quite fun. Hopefully you are starting to fill up sketchpads...that's a fun thing to do.
