Ah! I've heard that, in the earlier drafts of the Bible, they were supposed to have a funny animal sidekick, but the focus groups didn't like it.

OK, so this one takes a tiny bit of explaining. There's a Youtube animated series called "If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device" that's kind of like an Abridged Series for Warhammer 40k lore. A running joke in it is that the Custodes (the God-Emperor's special bodyguard) are ludicrously scantily-clad oily bodybuilders (actually, the series uses the bodies of JoJo characters with photoshopped helmets for them) with lots of ho-yay.

Why am I telling you this, you ask? Because some heroic spirit actually went and made miniatures of them.

Today I am proud to be part of humanity.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

I just thought: if I were a really famous and popular comedian, I'd go on tour with a show called Stage Fright. It would be 60 minutes of an empty stage.

Fox reportedly developing Simpsons Movie sequel, Family Guy live-action hybrid film
"The film studio is partnering with the Fox Television studio on a big-screen adaptation of the animated series "Bob's Burgers," a second "Simpsons" movie in development and a "Family Guy" film that would mix animation with live action, said people with knowledge of the projects." WSJ further explained.

Well, I thought the first one was okay, so I won't knock it until I see it. (The OFF film, that is. The FG one sounds like... wut.)

They better not screw this up now, is what I'm saying.

Disney bought out Fox, now wants to make movies out of all their properties. It's going to be the 90s adult animation cinemantic universe.

You just wanted a reason to use that gif, didn't you, Pat? :D

A second movie? That could be a good thing, depends on a lot of things. I actually remember being pretty "meh" on the first one and I think a decent chunk of that is due to it being mostly outside of Springfield. I mean to me, the side cast makes a lot of the show so cutting them out of it did take away a bit of my interest. It's the same with vacation episodes... outside of Bart vs Australia but that's mostly because Australia.

As for FG, that's a near guaranteed trainwreck. It might be fun however to see how much is actually the story and how much is just flashbacks.

Good point! I didn't think about it at the time, but I feel that way about OFF (and F'rama) too.

Hah! My money's on 90% flashbacks.
