Well, it took a while got get around to watching this. Partly because I didn't really like Elfo TOO much and wasn't quite up for an entire episode for him.

But this was pretty great.

Much of it was just stuff happening, of course. Some fun jokes concerning Zog's nakedness, the return after the quest, etc. Elfland was OK to see again, and the battle scenes were fun. I also enjoyed Luci this ep, who managed to actually show some believable empathy in addition to being funny.

But ultimately this is more an ep about drama and unanswered questions.

The first big one being: WTF is Elfo if he's not an elf? Gotta be a half-elf at least. I'm hoping he's Dagmar's offspring, so it can put a damper on the Bean/Elfo stuff.
Which brings up the bigger issue, and the part of the ep that I most appreciated. The twist about the statue of Dagmar being Dagmar herself, and that being the inspiration for Zog's obsession, was excellent.
That obsession always seemed a little bit weird for him, it didn't quite seem to fit his character, so this was illuminating.
Which led to an actual painful choice for Bean.

I have a feeling Dagmar won't be hanging around, and Elfo will probably be back, but for now I'm going to appreciate that that final scene was genuinely great.
