Remember when he ate my goldfish? And you said I never had a goldfish? Then why did I have the bowl, Bart? WHY DID I HAVE THE BOWL?

I agree it being a april fools joke, there is no way they are going to pull it off. And Groeining hasn't said anything about it. It has to be false.

I haven't trusted them ever since. Come on, they've gotta get the facts straight...

I liked the one that said Osama bin Laden and Saddam were gay lovers. The Weekly World News is the world's foremost user of Photoshop.

My favourite one was Bat Boy (Half-Bat Half-Boy) joining the Navy. What a trooper! That and Elvis crashing a U.F.O. into the Lock Ness Monster. Okay, that wasn't in an issue (from what I know) but I remember hearing that it is one of the world's largest gambling odds of it happening. (14 million to 1).
Before continuing, it may be in your best interest, dear reader, to stop and ponder this. Picture it in your mind's eye. An evil one-eyed midget named Cheatum swam across the Gulf of Mexico wearing a shark fin on his back and then planted a bomb on a boat. Think about that. Let that sink in. Now. Wouldn't you want to buy a wrestling show after seeing this?

Umm...is Weekly World News just a parody of tabloids?
...because I've always thought it was just TOO stupid...
But then again, I wouldn't be too surprised if they actually were expecting people to believe it.

I've heard that guy's an idiot.

Does anyone here buy tabloids just for fun? My mother does that sometimes, but I never quite saw the point.

No, it's real, inasmuch as they expect people to buy it to see what they've come up with this week. Whether or not they believe it is another matter, although there are at least a few journalists working at the Equirer who really believe what they write.Jon wrote: Umm...is Weekly World News just a parody of tabloids?
