i stopped listening to tabloids when i saw something about a two-headed fish on mars that is said to be elvis...

I agree it being a april fools joke, there is no way they are going to pull it off. And Groeining hasn't said anything about it. It has to be false.

My favourite one was Bat Boy (Half-Bat Half-Boy) joining the Navy. What a trooper! That and Elvis crashing a U.F.O. into the Lock Ness Monster. Okay, that wasn't in an issue (from what I know) but I remember hearing that it is one of the world's largest gambling odds of it happening. (14 million to 1).

An evil one-eyed midget named Cheatum swam across the Gulf of Mexico wearing a shark fin on his back and then planted a bomb on a boat. Think about that. Let that sink in. Now. Umm...is Weekly World News just a parody of tabloids?

...because I've always thought it was just TOO stupid...

But then again, I wouldn't be too surprised if they actually were expecting people to believe it.

No, it's real, inasmuch as they expect people to buy it to see what they've come up with this week. Whether or not they believe it is another matter, although there are at least a few journalists working at the Equirer who really believe what they write.
