I'm pretty fond of the Toyota one of a year or two back, with the car building itself.

Also a Swedish one, which I will again quote in its entirety, because it's very funny and I don't think many non-Swedes have seen it. It's for a breakfast cereal of some kind (I think), though I don't remember its name, so I guess you could say the advert failed in what it set out to do. Anyway, here goes:

Old-fashioned intertitle: THE KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND BREAKFAST TABLE

Shot of a bunch of Arthurian knights (looking rather Monty Pythonesque) sitting at a breakfast table. When emptying a packet of cereal in their bowl, all that comes out is pieces of Ryvita bread.

MERLIN (by way of explanation): Well, the Ryvita Witch was here and cast her spell.

Cut to: the knights walking through a misty swamp. (One of them carries a shield with a spoon painted on it.) They approach the Ryvita House (like a gingerbread house, except made from Ryvita), and their leader knocks on the door.

LEADER (King Arthur?): Come out, witch, or we shall eat your Ryvita house!

The witch, obviously a female impersonator, pokes her dingy head outside.

WITCH: Hullo guys. What a weather we've had lately.
KNIGHT: Shut your gab, cast your spell!
WITCH: 'Kay.

She casts her spell, spiriting the knights back to their breakfast table, now with proper cereals.

MERLIN (overbearingly): Once again, Good has prevailed!

The End.

They're not TV commercials, but I always liked those "Real American Heros / Men of Genuis" ads Budweiser ran on the radio.

Edit: Also, the Got Milk? commercial with the ants.  Go, Ben, go!

Ooh, I remember that 'Got Milk?' one with Ben the Ant!  That was great.

Most of my favorite commercials these days seem to be British ones for alcohol.  Hmm.

You Swedes are odd. :D

I haven't watched television since...well, actually, since home, I think (so that'd be August), but...there's this Japanese commercial I saw on a tape my high school Japanese teacher, Sensei, brought in for us to watch once. It was a commercial for a milk company, I think, and I remember it featured people in cow costumes singing karaoke.
WELSH: What the hell was that?
FRASER: The sound of a grown man squealing in a manner not becoming a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
WELSH: Oh, Turnbull.

I think my one is for this tuna product.

It shows a bear in the forest catching a tuna.

Narrator: Our fishermen do our best to get the tuna needed for our product(something like that)

Suddenly a fisherman runs out from the woods, screaming, and jumps at the bear. The two start a karate fight, with the bear getting the upper hand. The fisherman points up to the sky.

Fisherman: Look, it's Elvis!

The bear looks up. The fisherman kicks him between the legs, grabs the fish and runs off.
Before continuing, it may be in your best interest, dear reader, to stop and ponder this. Picture it in your mind's eye. An evil one-eyed midget named Cheatum swam across the Gulf of Mexico wearing a shark fin on his back and then planted a bomb on a boat. Think about that. Let that sink in. Now. Wouldn't you want to buy a wrestling show after seeing this?

Oh that's just exellent! Better than all the Bud Light, or whatever it was, commercials with the big fat guy.

I don't really have a favioute ad.  I usually hate ads but one I do like is the recent Terry's chocolate orange one, I found that one pretty amusing.

I once saw a very odd advert a few years ago whilst I was on holiday in Florida and the ad lasted what seemed like forever! It was a guy and a girl in a HUGE store for washing machines and kept explaining prices for certain machines then saying " in the box!" every 5 seconds and standing on the rooftop and stuff.  I couldn't stop laughin but it got annoying after a while because all I wanted to do was watch Nickalodeon and the advert would never end!!! This is without a doubt my favorite ad. Pity I don't know what it advertises.. As for lines the manic laughter takes the cake. ;D
