It's a show we like. True, it ain't Groening related, but we likes it anyway.
Think Johnny Quest on acid. That's pretty much what's the thing.

Re: ...Like two ninjas taped together!
It's everything you wanted to write but couldn't because you're too sane. And it's funny.
Actually it's impossible to give it a description that would do it justice. The basic plot is that it's about the son of a super scientist, Dr Venture, and the adventures of his two children, Hank and Dean, and their bodyguard, Brock.
Venture is an inventor, though his inventions often seem to go spectacularly wrong. He inherited Venture Industries from his father and keeps the family business running. He's still quite unable to see why his Ooo Ray, capable of turning entire cities to sludge, didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Brock is quite possibly insane. He's like James Bond... except he prefers to abandon the gadgets and weapons Bond uses and resorts to a knife to do his dirtywork. Sometimes he doesn't even bother with that.
Hank and Dean are... well, they're Hank and Dean.
Added to this is the usual mix of villains, side-kicks and nifty gadgets you'd expect from a series, except they're all a bit odd. Very odd.

Ohhh, I don't know about Brock being insane. He's just like Wolverine in that he's really damn good at what he does, and doesn't hesitate. He's probably the sanest member of the entire show's cast, or one of the sanest, if you think about it.

My sister and I must have watched the first season DVDs...at least ten times over. Especially the last episode, with the Monarch in prison, because that scene never fails to crack us up.
