@Alex: ah, I tried something like that, but I only put in the name of the engine, so I didn't get anything nearly as fun. Well, when it develops self-awareness we'll know whom to blame.

Not mine. Someone on SA put "amusing political cartoon" into Midjourney, and the results were as follows. Tag yourselves, mofos, I'm the tentacle monster crawling on the wall in Exhibit 4.

Sadly, we are not yet at a stage where it can do captions, so I'm just going to assume that everything and everyone is the debt.

Some random fooling around struck me with inspiration: the Simpsons as elementals! Homer the earth elemental was the most difficult to get good results from, and even this isn't quite what I wanted (which was his asleep-on-his-back pose forming a mountain range), but still.

I suddenly remembered a couple of characters I made way back in Soul Calibur V's character creation that I liked the look of. (I think Steve might remember them if we played any online matches.) So I used Bing to generate some concept art of them! Presenting Sheriff Grady and the mummified seer, Cleo!

I don't really know what Grady's star actually is, but I assume it's the source of any powers he might have and is probably why he's so big. (And fun fact: Cleo's bandage hood was actually something the AI added in an early result, and I thought it was such a neat look that I added it to the prompt.)
