The Simpsons and Futurama fan art as well as completely original works of art are welcome here. Freako's Fantastic Fan Art Topic

Post by Futurama_Freak1 » Mon Sep 07, 2009 6:39 am

I guess I may as well stick around.

Here is one I made today called "Leela's stash" and you all know about Leela's new fondness of electricity after Bender's game.

For my older crap just check out my Deviant Art page http://futuramafreak1.deviantart.com/

Wow, that's really good. Her right elbow seems a bit too low, but still.

Now, to find a translator key so I can read the note...

EDIT: Ahhh... Well done, m'boy. ;D

Again, wow. I say this with even more awe than before because I recently printed out screenshots of the how-to-draw guides from the DVDs, and it's proving even trickier to get the hang of than the Simpsons style. Think I need new templates...

That's mighty impressive. Your backgrounds make me jealous with all that detail - at least compared to my constant use of whiteness. ;D

I didn't really care for the shock collar subplot, but the first one is pretty perfectly on-model for the show. Leela's expression is quite nice. Graham already pointed out the note, but I also like the Feminista pants on the floor.

The wallpaper: similar high quality, though I think Leela's mouth is a bit too high and not wide enough, and the dashboard... thing feels like it takes up too much of the picture, from an aesthetic point of view. (Of course, if that's how it is on the show, then so be it.) Otherwise, awesome. I like Bender's legs sinking into the seat.

It's great having an artist of your caliber here. I'm looking forward to more!  :leela

Well, it sure makes it a hell of alot easier if you create a Quick 3D model of it before hand.

Anyway I fixed up some of those things.

Hah, it's like every movie poster and power ad in existence munged together. All it needs now is Chuck Norris.

Not so sure about Leela's hip and thigh, though. That odd lump, which I assume is her buttock, looks like it shouldn't be sticking out like that. You've got a weird dip where the leg joins the hip. It should be smoother.

I like the arrangement of the poster (particularly the logo, and Bender's head is awesome). The folds in Fry's jacket looks like they need a bit of work; maybe it's just a colouring thing. Just generally very nicely done and coloured. (Graham already pointed out the issue with Leela's hip.)
